The Brookline Basketball Association (BBA) was formed in 2015 to work alongside the Town of Brookline's Recreation Department to improve the youth basketball experience. The BBA site serves as an information hub for the town's two main programs: the Town Travel program, which competes against teams throughout the Boston suburbs, and the Joel M. Noe Youth Recreation League of in-town teams. The Rec Department also offers Saturday clinics for boys and girls in grades K-2. The BBA is led by volunteers with youth-coaching experience, with an advisory board including Brookline High School basketball coaches.

Brookline Youth Hockey (BYH) is the community youth hockey organization for Brookline, MA, a nonprofit founded in the mid-1960s by local hockey figure Jack Kirrane. It fields travel teams at 8U (Mite), 10U/12U/14U, girls 14U-18U, and Midget 18U levels, plus Fall Girls games-only programs and Learn to Play sessions including a Bruins-affiliated Learn to Play.
