Newton Youth Lacrosse (NYL) is the boys' field lacrosse program for Newton, playing in the Massachusetts Youth Lacrosse league (MYL). Its spring season offers two tracks: Classic (grades 1-8) with equal playing time and evenly balanced teams coached mostly by parent volunteers plus weekly pro-coach skills practices, and Select (grades 5-8), a tryout-based supplemental league with playoffs and all-star opportunities. Year-round, NYL partners with Scoops to run Ballerz/LEARN TO LAX clinics for ages 3-8 and grades 1-4.
Interested families 'should register for the SELECT Program during the registration period this Winter.' The site currently advertises Fall Ball. No 2027 season registration dates published on official site as of 2026-10-02.
